The Blue Room is situated close to the Green
Room, and together
they provide ideal accommodation for friends or family staying
together. There is room for an additional child’s single
bed or travel cot if needed. The shared bathroom (bath and
shower) and separate loo are along the landing, and offer privacy
to all guests using these two lovely rooms. The Blue Room has a double aspect, with one window overlooking
the front of the house and towards the oldest part of the house,
while the second window overlooks our large and very pretty
garden. The room also has an original cast iron fireplace and
built in stripped pine corner cupboard, giving it a special
charm and making it the first choice for many of our regular
guests. With a five foot wide Vi Spring double bed and two armchairs,
plus stripped pine wardrobe, extra large desk for working,
this room works exceptionally well for either a working week
stay or for more relaxed visits. It is a very light and airy
room, spacious and beautifully decorated in traditional lime
paint, ragged by hand in keeping with the 18th Century age
of this part of our lovely house. As with all of our rooms, you will find a TV with digital
channels, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, WiFi
broadband internet, thick towels and bathrobes, radio alarm
clock – we do our best to provide everything you might
need while away from home so you don’t need to remember
to bring it all with you. |
