Business Travellers

We are located near to several large business parks and international research centres, such as Milton Park Abingdon, UKAEA Harwell and Culham, Rutherford Laboratories, Harwell International Business Centre and Oxford Science Park and thus receive many guests who are travelling on business. The range of business reasons to be here in South Oxfordshire is extensive -sales managers and business development managers who stay a single night while visiting clients and business partners; delegates from further afield - perhaps South-East Asia or the USA - who may stay for longer periods of time and also make use of our meeting room facilities, whatever your reason, you will find an efficient and helpful welcome here. Spouses and partners of business guests are made very welcome and we are happy to be a very useful source of information about places to see and things to do in this beautiful and historic part of the UK.

Weekend Breaks

From the peaceful rural surroundings it is not obvious that we are located only 50 miles from London - less than a 45 minutes by rail, and less than an hour’s drive from London Heathrow Airport. Although it is quick and convenient for city-dwellers to reach us, once here, the demands of your busy life soon melt away and are forgotten – according to our guests.

Many of our weekend guests stay here for social reasons, either to attend family gatherings (Weddings, Silver/Gold Wedding Parties, Christenings, 21st Birthday Parties etc.) in the area, or simply to stay in the countryside, walk or cycle, and enjoy the many rural pubs and excellent pubs and restaurants in South Oxfordshire.

Long-Stay Guests

Are you considering re-locating to the Oxford/Newbury area ? Business is booming along the M4 corridor and this has brought some guests to stay with us while investigating new premises for themselves, their family, and/or business.

In this situation, some people require accomodation for several months - perhaps for 7 nights per week, just 5 nights per week, or with family to join as well during weekends only.
Long-stay situations can involve uncertainty, such as when house/business purchases are involved. Whatever the circumstances, we can help to make transition to South Oxfordshire a pleasant experience for everyone. Every case is different and we're pleased to discuss individual requirements.
